One panelist bids 4NT while the other four pass. Responder's hand is "soft" in values and since opener made no move after the 3♠ bid the other four panelist pass.

All agree with the 4 bid, the original 2bid is about as minimal as possible when playing 2as a negative. The jump to 4is fast arrival alerting opener to the nature of your hand.

 2♣

We have a split decision here, this hand will probably play a trick less in either a heart contract or notrump due to the 4-3-3-3 shape. Passing is probably right but the decision is close.

6Partner's pass indicates one keycard (DOPI) you are off one keycard and whatever points partner holds should be working as the 4 overcall actually helps with the assessment. The 5contract will certainly be set three tricks but four is problematic. Another possible assessment is that the hand has 5 losers and together with partner's promised 7, twelve tricks should be available.

4All agree that 4NT RKC is the correct action. Partner's bidding certainly is not encouraging but he has shown a six-card suit somewhat negating the possible missing queen. Should partner show both missing keycards and affirm the missing queen six is certain and seven is in play.

4Four votes for the 2 bid that is Reverse Two Way Drury showing a limit raise with four-card support. One panelist voted for the 3 bid but with Drury available 3should be preemptive in nature.

2NTAll agree that pass is the only sensible bid as 2♠ would be a forcing bid and things will quickly get out of control. A new suit in response to a weak two bid by an unpassed hand is forcing.

2Four votes for the use of 2♥ as "Fourth Suit Forcing" with the intention of rebidding diamonds over partner's anticipated 2NT rebid. Using FSF in this manner shows a hand with interest in a slam in diamonds. There was one vote for the bid of 3♣ but that would not be forcing and partner could pass in most partnerships.

DoubleFour panelist pass with this hand while one opts to overcall 3♣. Double is out of the question without heart support and the hand is too weak for a notrump overcall and there is no spade stopper. A 3♣ overcall would be appropriate with a better suit but overcalling with this suit could lead to a bid minus.

DoubleThis is the only question that had three answers from the panelist. One vote for 3♣ which should show a stronger hand than this, two votes for double which should be responsive showing a 3-3-4-3 or 3-3-5-2 hand. The 2♠ is best as it does not overstate the values of the hand and if the opponents contest to 3♣ the advancer can bid 3♥ which will allow partner to either pass or correct to 3♠. This is an exception to reponder bidding 4-4 in the majors up the line.
